NOURISHING FAMILIES
You're never too young -or too old- to learn how to cook. Here at ChopChop Family, we believe that cooking is life’s most important skill. Cooking helps create healthy minds and bodies, great memories, and nourished families.
Dear Readers,
ChopChop Family has been on a mission to inspire and educate families to cook and eat real food together since 2010. We are honored to have reached millions of young chefs and their families along the way.
It is with great sadness that, after fifteen truly exciting and meaningful years, I share with you the difficult decision we have made to stop publishing ChopChop magazine. Our Fall 2025 issue, The Best of ChopChop, is our last one.
ChopChop Family is a small non-profit. Eighty percent of our magazines were distributed through SNAP-Ed programs that serve low- income families. SNAP-Ed, the largest nutrition education program in the United States, was defunded by Congress on September 30, 2025. The economic impact to us, and more importantly, to the families we serve (and the organizations who serve them) is dramatic.
We believe that our mission is more important than ever, so we are carrying our mission forward through different channels and invite you to join us! We are thankful for the outpouring of kindness from our readers and supporters across the country -- your words and support mean so much to us. We are incredibly grateful for every reader, listener and supporter!
Gratefully,
Sally Sampson

“ChopChop is a wonderful resource for children. Beyond the cooking instructional aspect, which is presented so well, there are the math, science, and cultural components to the publication, playing such informative roles. I’m happy and proud to make ChopChop available to our students. Well done!”

“One of the many reasons we love and continue to use ChopChop is because [it] offers essential nutritional education in a digestible and fun way!”
