ChopChop Family is the non-profit publisher of cooking magazines, cookbooks, digital content, cooking curricula, and learning decks. Our mission is to inspire and educate families to cook and eat real food together. ChopChop The Fun Cooking Magazine for Families is technically reviewed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and winner of the prestigious James Beard Foundation Award for Publication of the Year. ChopChop provides tools for building essential life skills through the lens of food and cooking. Our team works to create a diverse and inclusive collection of products for children, parents, and older adults, reaching over three million families worldwide.

Developed by ChopChop Family in partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics Institute for Healthy Childhood Weight, and with funding from the CDC, Eatable Alphabet™ teaches kids aged 2–6 that cooking real food is fun.

ChopChop Family is a small, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations, sponsorships, and grants to reach children and families. Your donation will help us empower healthy cooking and eating habits in children.

We adapted this Avocado Ranch Dressing from the cookbook Best Dressed by Dawn Yanagihara and Adam Ried. 🥑 It’s great on a green salad, but we like it even better on a lettuce-free one made from just tomatoes and cucumbers! Or serve it as a dip, if you prefer.

Instead of mayonnaise, we used tahini (sesame seed paste) as the base for this Lebanese Tuna Salad—a surprising and welcome addition. It’s creamy and nutty and we love it. But if you’re not a fan, feel free to substitute whatever condiment you like best! Kids Advisory Board member Katherine recommends adding chopped pickles for even more zippy flavor.

Just look at the shine on these Lemon-Glazed Chicken Wings! ✨ Instead of marinating the chicken, we dress it after it’s been cooked, when it’s still hot and can absorb the marinade through and through. Feel free to experiment with different citrus (limes and oranges are delicious too) and different herbs.

This Tortellini Salad is a perfect picnic (or anytime) side dish, but it's a great main dish too. If we’re serving it as a main, we like to add cheese or beans—or both!— to make it even more satisfying. Kids Advisory Board member Amine added scallions and black pepper and said it was “delicious!”
