Drinking lots of water is good for you, but sometimes you want it to have a little bit of flavor — that’s why we’re adding the refreshing combination of cucumber and fresh mint leaves. You can strain the mint and cucumber out of the water before you serve it, but it’s not necessary. In fact, sometimes it’s nice to get a slice or two of cucumber in your glass! By Adam Ried
Put the mint leaves in the pitcher and use the wooden spoon to gently mash and stir until they look a little bit bashed up.
Add the cucumber slices and water, stir, and put the pitcher in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. Strain out the mint and cucumber, if you like, and serve right away.
Notes
DID YOU KNOW? Bashing up the mint leaves with a wooden spoon is called "muddling," and it helps release their flavor.
