What We’re Listening To: Crooked Soul by Vic DeRobertis

There’s a lot of music we love around the ChopChop office.  You can often find us jamming to the food-inspired tunes of Jay Mankita’s Eat Like a Rainbow CD,but this week we’re listening to something a little closer to home.  Our Creative Director, Vic DeRobertis, makes ChopChop look beautiful every quarter, and he also has a few other talents.  Vic sells guitars for left handed people (like himself), writes music, and plays guitar. You can find Vic performing around the Boston area honoring the Grateful Dead in his band, “Playing Dead.”

Vic just released his first CD, Crooked Soul which has been on repeat in our office. It’s an album full of original music and lyrics, which he describes as “rootsy sounding, a little bit alt-country.”   Also featured on the CD are some of New England’s finest players, including Duke Levine, Kevin Barry, Marco Giovino, Richard Gates and Dave Limina.
