National Strawberry Month
Here at ChopChop, we celebrate healthy and delicious food everyday. We love when there’s even more reason to celebrate, with a wacky, fun food holiday. May has many food holidays and ChopChop will be celebrating all month long. We’ll be giving you ideas on ways to celebrate with us and of course, some recipes to try with your family!
May is National Strawberry Month. Strawberry season is coming and we’re excited to eat strawberries in salads, desserts, smoothies, and this Strawberry Agua Fresca. Agua fresca, which means “fresh water” in Spanish, is a popular fruity drink in Mexico. It’s super- refreshing and requires no cooking at all. You can make it with almost any ripe, juicy fruit, but here we’re using strawberries. For the most flavorful drink, use the reddest, ripest berries you can find.
