Join the ChopChop Unselfie Challenge for #GivingTuesdayNow
Calling everyone everywhere to kindness through cooking!
We’re joining the #GivingTuesdayNow movement by making food and gratitude our priority on May 5, 2020. After all, cooking brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe.
The spirit of #GivingTuesdayNow is central to the idea that generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and that it is a fundamental value anyone can act on. We couldn’t agree more with this philosophy.

So, we’re starting the ChopChop Unselfie Challenge, which will run all day on May 5. In order to complete this challenge all you have to do is any or all of the following fun ideas. Anyone of any age can participate!
ChopChop UnSelfie Challenge

- Share a quote or a story about a memorable meal you’ve had, tagging* us in the post.
- Create a Mother’s Day care package for the mom in your life with handmade recipe cards (either blank or with some of her favorite dishes).

At a time when many of us are preparing meals at home, too many families and neighbors are suffering from economic-, social- and food-system failures. Access to food and making meals has become headline news and a reality for many. Given that most people are both new to food pantries, and how to cook with staple pantry items, this is where we can help.
Even as we have deeply felt the economic effects of this crisis, we redirected resources from our usual programs to better support our communities. For almost two months, we have been providing free newsletters to food pantries, libraries, schools, and other nonprofits. We are proud to do our part and have been overwhelmed by the positive response. Subscribe to either or both of our newsletters and also check out our curated list of pantry-friendly recipes.
Cooking is a fundamental life skill and can be one of the most profound ways to express gratitude. Let’s come together on May 5, a global day of giving. If you can, support our work and make a donation by clicking the button below. Thank you.
