Throughout the year, people like to make resolutions and set goals Many people like to make resolutions based on food and their diets. Though the category is broad, this allows for lots of room to come up with your own resolution that is exactly what you need. My resolution, for example, is to eat less processed foods. There are so many different options when it comes to making your own “processed” snacks instead of buying them in the store. It is easier, more fun, and much healthier for you.
ChopChop has so many different recipes that offer foods that are great alternatives to processed snacks. Here are some ideas for swapping in healthy foods to your diet.
A substitute for sugary soda is ChopChop’s Berry Spritzer. It is sweet like soda, but it’s much healthier!
Packaged granola bars are often less healthy than you may think. They can be filled with sugar, sometimes three or four different sugars in one bar! ChopChop’s Energy Bars are good as a snack, or even as a quick breakfast. They are healthy and delicious.
Another example is peanut butter. Though peanut butter is delicious, conventional store-bought brands can include lots of unnecessary ingredients. Nut butters are easy to make at home, and often taste better than what you find at the grocery store. ChopChop has a yummy recipe for walnut butter, as well as a recipe for peanut butter. It can be used to make a quick peanut butter & jelly sandwich, ants on a log, or you can just eat a big spoonful!
As you can see, there are so many different substitutes and alternatives to the snacks that are loved by so many people. The options go so far beyond the ones that I have listed and many more are on the ChopChop website. Go check it out!
