Food Day 2013
On October 24th, we’re celebrating Food Day, a national awareness-building movement devoted to healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. Our mission and Food Day’s couldn’t be more closely aligned—helping people Eat Real—and this year’s focus on educating kids is, of course, right in our happy, delicious comfort zone. To that end, we developed a Nutrition Toolkit for Kids: a 4-page booklet that teaches kids what they need to know to make healthy food choices, from comparing ingredients and reading a nutrition label, to generating the knowledge and power they need to outsmart food advertisers. Download it here, and send it to all the kids you know. Their health is in their own hands—and brains.
