DIY Nut Butter
Here at ChopChop, we celebrate healthy and delicious food everyday. We love when there’s even more reason to celebrate, with a wacky, fun food holiday. January has many food holidays and with cold weather outside around most of the country, there’s even more opportunity to stay in and celebrate by cooking a nice, warm meal. We’ll be celebrating all month long and giving you ideas on ways to celebrate with us and of course, some recipes to try with your family!
January 24 is National Peanut Butter Day. You might use Peanut Butter at home, but do you know there are other nut butters you can use regularly to substitute for peanut butter. This is especially great for our friends with peanut allergies. Of course, if you have an allergy to all nuts, don’t eat any of these nut butters. Some popular nut butters include Almond Butter, Macadamia Nut Butter, Walnut Butter, Hazlenut Butter, and Cashew Butter.
Did you know you can make your own nut butter at home with your family? Start with our recipes for Walnut Butter and Peanut Butter.
