CELEBRATING COMING TOGETHER

After years of planning and months of construction, the ChopChop Test Kitchen is finally a beautiful and functional reality! On March 19th, 2017, our ChopChop family and friends came together to celebrate the opening of the ChopChop Test Kitchen. About 100 guests took tours of the state of the art kitchen and learned how ChopChop plans on using the space for cooking classes, photo shoots, and recipe testing.

Kids took part in cooking activities from Make-Your-Own Fruit Salad Kabobs and a Chefs’ Hat coloring station to riding our ChopChop Blender Bike. Guests sipped on Pomegranate Sparkler and munched on our favorite dips including Lemony Hummus and Whipped Feta and Roasted Red Pepper Dip. And it wouldn’t be a party without some sweet treats, including kitchen sink cookies and dried fruit and nut bites.

Halfway through the celebration, our friends at Whole Foods Market presented us with a HUGE check totaling $96,885 raised from 5% Day! We’ll use the proceeds toward the ChopChop Test Kitchen, fund nutrition workshops and cooking demonstrations for families, and distribute copies of ChopChop to families in need. Thanks to everyone who came out to and supported us on March 7th. And thank you to our local participating Whole Foods Market stores!

And finally, a BIG thank you to all of our amazing partners who helped make our Test Kitchen a dream come true: our brilliant architects Stephen Brockman and Stephen Lam, from Deborah Berke Partners, Lee Cook and the team from Buildout Construction, Accuserv (decorative lighting), Bosch (appliances), Cosentino (countertops), Nemo Tile & Stone (ceramic tile), Porcelanosa (cabinetry), and Signature Accord (flooring). ChopChop would also like to thank our Indiegogo supporters, OXO, Bob’s Red Mill, Whole Foods Market, Melissa’s Produce, Le Creuset, Cabot Creamery and Kitchen IQ, for donating our favorite cooking tools and foods.
