We know not every family has a father, and that’s okay! You can make these recipes with or for any father figures or other special people in your life. However you celebrate, we hope you can use some of these ideas to make it a fun day for your family.
Note: If you’re too young to cook solo, get help from another adult (even your dad—he’ll still appreciate it!), and if you are old enough not to need one, let it be a surprise!

Father’s Day Lunch
One of the fun things about Father’s Day is that it lands in June, which is a summer month for those living in the United States. Summer Quesadillas are like flat, crispy-edged grilled cheese sandwiches and make a great lunch, especially when you serve them with our summery toppings! Our Rainbow Sandwich is great if you want a no-cook lunch since there is no heating required. You can choose from a variety of different colorful vegetables to put in your sandwich, helping you and Dad eat the rainbow! Or try our confetti salad. The word “confetti” gives a happy kind of parade feeling—perfect for celebrating someone you love. This colorful and flavorful salad doesn’t even have any lettuce in it but it is still just as good for you.

Father’s Day Dinner
Another fun thing about cooking during summertime is grilling. If you have a grill and an adult is available to help, try making one of our Diff’ Burgers on the grill. Or simply follow our steps and cook it on the stove. Salmon is also delicious grilled but oven-roasted is tasty too. If you want to get fancy, try creating a bed of thinly sliced citrus (lemon, lime, orange, or grapefruit) on the baking sheet and cooking the salmon on top of it. If chicken is your meat of choice for your Father’s Day dinner, make our Zippy Green Sauce, which is a bright, tangy, herby, garlicky mixture that tastes extra good on grilled, stove-cooked, or oven-roasted chicken.
