Gingerbread Milk

Gingerbread Milk
We love this sweetly spiced recipe as an anytime warmer, but we especially enjoy it when we’re backyard camping, or even just sitting outside on a chilly spring evening. (Of course you should feel free to drink it inside, if that’s where you are.)
kitchen gear
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- Medium Pot
- Whisk or fork
- Pot holders
- Ladle
- 4 mugs
Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup or 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in the saucepan and put the saucepan on the stove. Turn the heat to low and cook, stirring the whole time, until the milk is very warm, about 3 minutes. Be careful not to let it boil or burn. (If you prefer, you can put the milk in a microwavable container and heat until it’s very warm.)
- Using the whisk or fork, carefully whip until the top is frothy. Ladle into the mugs and serve right away
