Garlicky Herb Dip



Garlicky Herb Dip

This dip might remind you a little of the best version of ranch dressing. Feel free to add more or less of the herbs to suit your own tastes — or to add fresh ones, if you have any on hand.

Servings 2 Cups

  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife (adult needed)
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon, for mixing


  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1⁄2 cup finely chopped fresh Italian flat leaf parsley leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced or put through a garlic press
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt


  • Put all the ingredients in the bowl and mix well. Taste the dip. Does it need more herbs or pepper or a pinch of salt? If so, then add it, and taste again.
  • Serve right away, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days.
