Creamy Maple-Walnut Dip for Berries

Berries are perfectly delicious just the way they are, of course. But sometimes we like to jazz them up a little with this sweet, tangy, nutty dip.

Cutting board
Sharp knife (adult needed)
Measuring cup
Measuring spoons
Small bowl


1 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons real maple syrup
1⁄3 cup very finely chopped walnuts, pecans, or almonds
2 cups any kind of berries, washed


Wash your hands with soap and water, then gather all your equipment and ingredients and put them on a counter.

  1. Put the yogurt, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and nuts in the bowl and mix well.
  2. Serve right away, with the berries, or cover and refrigerate up to 3 days.
