Non-profit publisher of ChopChop Magazine receives a package of consulting, coaching, and in-kind support valued at more than $50,000.
Watertown, MA, December 20, 2013 -- ChopChopKids, publisher of ChopChop Magazine, the award-winning, non-profit cooking magazine for kids, has been selected as an “Impact Entrepreneur” for Root Cause’s Social Innovation Forum. ChopChop is one of the six “Impact Entrepreneurs” selected for the 2013-2014 program year (its 10th program year) for a social issue track called “Impact Investing: Connecting Social Enterprises to Capital,” sponsored by the Devonshire Foundation.

Evaluation and interview committees made up of more than 70 social issue experts from the business, government, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors reviewed upwards of 100 applications to select the winners. They are:

As an Impact Entrepreneur, ChopChop will receive a distinct package of consulting, coaching and in-kind support from Root Cause and its partners, as well as access to the Social Innovation Forum’s investor community. The Impact Entrepreneurs will be featured at the Social Innovation Forum’s 2nd Annual Impact Investing Forum on April 17, 2014.
The Social Innovation Forum is Root Cause’s demonstration of how resources can be allocated based on performance to accelerate progress on social issues. Since 2004, it has directed close to $14 million in cash and in-kind support to 59 Social Innovators and Impact Entrepreneurs.
Endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, ChopChop, The Fun Cooking Magazine for Families, is a nonprofit quarterly food magazine.
